I have also been a professional speaker for two decades and have worked with various clients including The Red Cross, Metro Toronto University, Métis Nation of British Columbia, The City of Hamilton, University of Waterloo, Queens University, and Western University.
I am an advisor and mentor with various non profits and incubators including the Elizabeth Fry Society, the Social Venture Zone, and York University.
But beyond all of that, I am a life that has been changed by the power of stories and connection. I have known the sweetest riches of life and relationships and I have known the painful, bitter taste of failure and loss.
The stories we tell ourselves and the world matter because they are how we build trust, connection, and a future worth sharing.
And it all begins with the stories we tell ourselves around who we are, where we come from, and where we are going.
I am a Métis woman originally from Treaty 6 territory and the homeland of the Métis Nation (Saskatchewan). I am the daughter of Ralph and Donna, mom to Widlene, and partner to Augusto.
I’ve been a social entrepreneur for more than 20 years and have worked and lived across Canada and around the world for all of that time.
I am on a mission to help others learn how to connect, grow the good, and leave our world better as a result.
Many years ago, I co-founded a non-profit that is now active all over the globe called Live Different. I am the founder of a sustainable and circular fashion company called Brave Soles and I am the co-founder of a coaching and consulting company with two other exceptionally gifted coaches and leaders called Whole Human Coaching. We’re focused on helping to build diverse, resilient, and agile leadership in mission driven businesses and organizations.
